Walking in Partnership Beat Surgery |
||
|
We often hear from people who love the Forest but don’t feel comfortable walking on their own for lots of different reasons. One lady told us “I love the New Forest, but mainly see it through driving and having a picnic as I don't feel comfortable walking there alone”
That’s why we have joined forces with our colleagues at Forestry England to hold our Walking in Partnership Beat Surgeries. We hold several Beat Surgeries every month and our Walking in Partnership events are another opportunity to ask us about Policing in your area and they give us the chance to share with you the latest safety and crime prevention advice.
Our next one will be at 6pm on Friday 3rd July at the Longslade Bottom car park and will cover approximately two and a half miles.
The what3words for the car park are strutted.nursery.rips
Again Forestry England will be hosting the walk which is aimed at encouraging solo walkers and those people who don’t feel comfortable walking alone to spend time in the Forest in a safe and relaxed setting.
Please bring water and some sunscreen and remember you now need to pay to park in all New Forest car parks.
If you want more information please email richard.williams@hampshire.police.uk
Stay safe (and cool) everyone
